The Full Story

About

Founded in 2024, Green Habit started with a simple idea: to make sustainability a part of everyday life for the people of India. From beach clean-ups to educational workshops, our journey has been driven by a passion for the environment, the health of the planet and everyone living on it, and a commitment to making a positive impact.

Mission

Our mission is to empower individuals and communities to adopt sustainable habits that tackle the climate crisis and its profound impact on human health. Pollution, deforestation, and waste dumping accelerate climate change, triggering floods and extreme weather events. These environmental disruptions create a ripple effect, amplifying the spread of communicable and infectious diseases and endangering public health. At Green Habit, we are committed to educating and inspiring people to make conscious, everyday choices that protect both the planet and our well-being, fostering a generation of climate warriors who recognize that safeguarding the environment is crucial to protecting our health.

Vision

We envision a world where every person is a steward of the environment, actively participating in creating sustainable communities and protecting our planet for future generations. Every person recognizes that the climate crisis is a health crisis. As pollution, rising temperatures, and environmental degradation continue to accelerate the spread of diseases, we aim to create a world where sustainable habits are the norm, protecting both people and the planet. By promoting a deeper understanding of the link between climate change and public health, Green Habit aspires to build a healthier, more resilient society that actively combats the root causes of environmental and health challenges.

UN SDGs

At Green Habit, we believe that education is the foundation for lasting change. Our programs are designed to help individuals understand the significance of the UN SDGs and how they can contribute to meeting these goals in their daily lives. From reducing waste to advocating for clean energy, we offer hands-on learning opportunities and community-driven projects that align with the SDGs. By focusing on practical actions and fostering a culture of sustainability, we aim to create a ripple effect that extends beyond local communities to inspire global progress. Green Habit is also committed to collaboration and partnerships that align with the UN SDGs, ensuring that our efforts are part of a larger, global movement. By working with schools, local organizations, and international networks, we create opportunities for people of all ages to engage with sustainability challenges and solutions. Our goal is not only to inform but to inspire action, empowering individuals to make a tangible difference in the pursuit of a healthier planet and a more equitable world.
